Oh my!!!
For the record, for the last 4 years I either lost or destroy my phone. Lost my 7610 in September 2005 at SM Dasma. Lost another 1 (6670) in October 2006 at SM Dasma. Drowned the Motorola L6 at Charles Huang's toilet last August 2007. And now a Sony Ericsson, December 2008. 1 phone a year! I thought I would end the year without losing or destryong a phone. Hmf. Bummer.

I feel the need to repost!
"...a heart should be wise, although broken. It should know where and who to run to when it has been let down. It should know what to desire when it has been left bleeding. It should not make the easy choice of being bitter.
The broken heart should go back home. In the palm of the One who created hearts in the first place. "

The weekend that was
Last Sunday, mom left for Pampangga. A day's outing with her friends. Since she left early and has mentioned that she'll be home late, she left me in-charged with the cooking. I am so delighted!
For lunch, my sister and I had macaroni & cheese, with hashbrown on the sides. The hashbrown was a disaster though. Nadurog! We end up spooning it. Haha. Since, I'm loving the kitchen, I decided to make Minatamis na Saba with ice and Evap for merienda.
Gelo, who's coming all the way from Manila volunteered to bring the sago and asked me to wait for him before I bought banana's and the veggies for the dinner. However, he arrived 4:00 in the afternoon! I'm glad that he bought not only sago but also the sugar and milk. We started cooking the sago and at the same time, boiling the beef for our sinigang dinner on the other caserole. It wasn't the best idea to cook "sago" when in a hurry to serve merienda. It took as an hour to cook those tiny sago! We finished cooking Sinigang na Baka and Minatamis na Saging almost at the same time. It was obviously dinner time when we finished cooking.

Anyway, it's worth the effort. We enjoyed our dinner plus the minatamis we eventually ate for dessert

Romans 8:35-39 (New Living Translation)
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Strong Woman vs Woman of Strength
A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape…
A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything…
but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear…
A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her…
but a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone…
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
but a woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them…
A strong woman walks sure footedly…
but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls…
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face…
but a woman of strength wears grace…
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong

Unemployed
Anyway, I received an offer from my dad. And no, it isn't about going abroad. He's offering to fund whatever business I would like to start. So there. Now I'm soon to be self-employed. But ofcourse not for long, just until I learn how to manage whatever it is that I should manage. But before that, I should do market research first. This is way harder than I thought!

Solo un pensiero
Kuwait
I wish to visit Kuwait. The Salmiya area, specifically the Marina World. I wish to experience the seaside both day and night. And yes, I adore Marks and Spencer. Specially the food and the chocolates. Dad told me that in Kuwait, M&S is a three-storey building and it houses goods which are not available in the M&S store in Manila. I wish to VISIT Kuwait. Just visit.

John Mc Cain. tsk.
I cant believe John Mc Cain did that. Comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears? Isn't it a bit low. I mean, there are better ways to launch a campaign than comparing your opponent to celebrities. Tsk. Kathy Hilton's reaction to this ad makes a lot of sense.
I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.

Cinderella
Just like today. I spotted these cute shoes while surfing the net. I want it but I haven't purchased it... yet.
alter ego: NO. you don't need it.
Me: I have extra money naman.
alter ego: Kahit na. You have to be serious with your finances.
Me: Just one pair. Wala pa ko Mary jane's eh.
alter ego: You need to save your money. You cannot eat that shoes.
Anyway, I think this is crazy. I have to control this panic buying attitude when it comes to shoes. Self control is a must.

A teacher's prayer
Let me thank You for what You've done and for the things yet to come. Thank You Lord, for blessing me with wonderful students. Thank You for opening this door for me. Thank You for never ceasing to amaze me every single day.
Lord, this is what I ask. That you may give me the strength not just to teach but to do it passionately every single day. You have given me a job with an opportunity to influence young people. Lord, do not allow me to waste it. Do not allow me to take it for granted. Please Lord, let every session I have with them make a positive impact in their lives. Far be it Lord that this school year end without them meeting You. Teach me how to plant seed, move me Lord, and please move mightily in the lives of my students.
My dear Lord, grant that I may only have the wisdom that is coming from You. Teach me Lord of all the things I do not understand. Restore my strength Lord, restore my voice. Restore my patience. Lord, give me a very long patience.
Above all, Lord, remind me of the wonders and beauty of prayer. Let everything come from You and You alone. Give me the grace to pray before standing in class no matter how busy, hurried or cramped my schedule is. Allow me Lord to have quiet moments with You, times of refreshing even in the midst of a busy day. Lord, let everything I do be out of love. Continue to teach me Lord, continue to open my heart to You. Please Lord, mold me and show me how to be a teacher after Your own heart.
Thank You Lord.

Hello new hair
After several days of contemplation, I decided to have a really short hair This time I wont settle for medium length hair, I somehow got bored of it. And long hair is not easy to maintain.
These are the narrowed choices of hairstyle I might get. (In random order)

When I receive my salary, I will get a haircut, I will tell my future stylist that I want a hair cut that's so chic yet really easy to manage and maintain. Ok lang if wala sa list yung final haircut. Haircolor is not an option either. I love my black hair. ^_^
P.S. Anyone here who can recommend a suberb hair stylist?? I need a new one for a new look. Thanks!

Remember me, Clint Brown
Few months ago, I was on a cycle of depression. I can still remember that whenever I feel sad, I would listen to worship songs. It would go on for hours and hours until I fell asleep. During one of those days when I am trying to recover, I opened the Clint Brown folder on the laptop. That's when I found this song. I listened to this over and over and felt being released from the sadness and frustrations. I hope it makes an impact in your life in every possible way. Be blessed.
boomp3.com
Clint Brown: One day I was thinking about the two thieves on each side of Jesus. The mistake that one of them made. One of them said "If you are the Son of God, come down from that cross, save us, save yourself." The other thief I think he is a lot like all of us. He knew he deserve to be there, he knew that the things in his life that he had chosen, the paths that he had chosen brought him to that place. All he was searching for was mercy, for grace. And he ask Jesus a question, he said "Will you remember me?" I don't think he was asking Jesus to make a mental note of who he was and not forgetting but I think he was looking at Jesus, the carpenter's son. The one that grew up knowing how to put things together and I think he was tapping into the side of his life that watched his father build things and create things. When he said remember me I think he was saying, "Can You take the fragment and pieces of a life that I've destroyed and put it together, put it all back together. Can You remember me?" And that's how this little song came about. It just says remember me.
Put me back together
Hold me close forever
Remember me
Tell me that You love me
And I'll always be where You'll be
Remember me,
Oh Lord, Remember me.
Put me back together
Hold me close forever
Remember me
Tell me that You love me
And I'll always be where You'll be
Can You remember me?
Can You remember me?
Can You remember me?
Will You remember me?

I must not
Until I saw them.
And it feels like I hate them, I despise them.
I cannot be like this. I cannot sow hatred.
I mustn't.
Lord, just take away everything that is not coming from You and doesn't glorify You. Remove it Lord. Do not allow me to sow hatred, to sow anger. Show me Your mercy Lord. I ask for Your forgiveness. Give me the grace to forgive as well. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Luke 6:37 (The Message)
37-38"Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don't condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you'll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity."Luke 6:37 (New International Version)
Judging Others
37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
