survived the storm

We weren't expecting that pinagbuhatan pasig would be in deep flood. hours of rain left us with no electricity and high level of muddy flood that almost reached the 1st floor of the house. we have water, but we cannot use the toilet as the bowl is clogged due to the flood and dirty water enters the shower drains . we cannot use the toilet nor the shower. for most of the time, we stayed at the 2nd floor of the house.for 2 days, we barely have cellphone signal. without electricity, we find it hard to know what's going on the streets and inform family and friends of our current situation. but we survived. this morning, we decided to evacuate the place. we hailed an improvised pedicab to bring us to mercedes/rustan, where it's not flooded. it's a disaster. people, youg and old are riding improvised boats, aerobeds, pedicabs. there were trucks who give free rides, a lot are walking-water almost waist deep. it took us an hour to reach mercedes/rustan. after that, we hailed a tricycle and jeepney to shangri-la.

Project 30 - Practice Healthy Lifestyle

Today I started my "Healthy Eating Campaign". [hahaha]. Instead of "fried packed lunch" or eating instant noodles and binging on junkfoods, I decided to change the whole eating habit. For today, I prepared an Iceberg and Romaine lettuce salad, with a little dressing and chicken breast on top. Lunch is different but I'll definitely get used to it.

Crinkles Obsession

One early morning at the office, I felt so hungry. And so I visit Cafe Amadeo at Manila Doctor's Hospital's Business Center. The yummy crinkles caught my attention. And so I bought it. It's so delicious. it kept me high all day. And so the next day, I bought another pack. And the day after next. Now, instead of a daily dose of caffeine... I switched to crinkles.
